good model, but doesn't work
The model and the instructions are actually very good. There are a few places where the instructions are inadequate, leaving you wondering how to do a few steps. And there are at least two places where the instructions were just dead wrong -- you have to figure those parts out yourself, so it wastes a lot of time. Still, assembling all the parts will teach you exactly what all the parts of the engine do - it's a great educational tool no matter how old or young you are.

There is no way a child of less than about 14 could put this together by himself. It probably took 5 hours for me to do it with my son.

Biggest problem - when it was all assembled, the electrical motor failed after 1/2 hour. It's supposed to light up the top of the cylinders (representing the spark plugs firing), and it is supposed to turn the crankshaft, similating a running engine. But again, after only a few runs, it doesn't work at all. There is no phone number nor web site to get help...
