PlanToys Microwave

Plan Toys Microwave Needs Work
We've purchased a number of Plan Toys, and although they are made of high-quality material, there is always some failure. This time it was the magnetic door closure. The buyer is expected to screw the magnet into position, but the hole in the magnet is too small; the head of the screw protrudes, preventing the door from closing. The only solution is to glue the magnet in place. Considering the price of Plan Toys, this is more than disappointing.
door is hinged with elastic string, like hair bands!
This is a very small scale, wobbly, and poor construction product. I bought all of them for a complete kitchen and it is horrible. For the opening windows there is no plastic so there is actually no need to have a door at all. The sink bin is a cheap low quality metal bowl that you could not even use as a mixer. It was dented withing the first 30 minutes in regular play.
The microwave door is held together with string, crazy! The turn table broke in the first day. The dishwasher component is combined with the sink and it fold downward, so the kids get to stand on it! Dumb designer!
I would never ever ever buy this product if I were you, and it is still expensive!
They are all small scale and easily dipped over.
microwave oven
this toy is safe to play with and gives much fun.
our children loved it for years.it is still working

Plan Toys Tabletop Stove

Wonderful Pink Stove
My 5 year old daughter loves this pink stove! As the description says, there are not pots or pans included - which is totally fine! It looks like the review below notes that the seller sent them pots and pans, that's great customer service. I would absolutely recommend this stove to anyone who has a daughter 4+ who loves pretend play. We have a few other kitchen pieces from Plan Toys and this fits well with the rest of our collection. I give this product 5 stars!
Great play stove
My mom bought this stove for our kids. It's not too big and easy to move around. I didn't want a full kitchen, so this was the perfect piece for us. We can add more pieces later if we want, which is a nice option to have. Piece is well made and solid. Love that they make a pink stove!
Glad we bought
Great value for this piece. Price blew us away, so we had to buy. Item arrived in perfect condition. Very nicely made. Would be interested to know how they colored the wood - looks almost stained, way higher quality than other wooden play kitchen pieces we looked at. Extremely happy with purchase, has already been getting lots of play time with the kids.

KITCHEN CENTER

Plan Toy Kitchen Center
Purchased the Plan toy Kitchen Center last Christmas (2009) for a then 2-3/4 year-old boy. Kitchen play is very big in preschool. Arrived undamaged and required minimal assembly. Probably took less than 10 minutes to put together. A rather small and compact kitchen center. It is great for condo/apartment living; blends well in living area. Very aesthetically pleasing - like the gender neutral color palate. We purchased the orange - light wood combination as the price was about $25 cheaper than the red. Recommend for play with 1-2 children only due to smaller size. A bit pricey - but expected with Plan Toy Products; well constructed environmentally friendly product with no plastic components. The doors are hinged. A very simple toy with few bells and whistles. You do hear clicking sounds when turning the knobs, the kitchen faucet turns and the sink is metal. We do have a few of the Plan toy kitchen accessories; pots, dishes and kitchen utensils. The Melissa and Doug food items...
Terrible Packaging
This is a nice kitchen playset, but the packaging is terrible. The first one we ordered was cracked. In fact, the oven door was splintered into 3 pieces. We sent it back. The second one we ordered was also cracked, but this time it was a smaller cosmetic crack. We didn't have time before my daughters birthday to send it back for a third one, so we are reluctantly keeping it. In any case, I am not confident that the third one would not be damaged also.

There is absolutely no padding, styrofoam, bubble wrap or any protection for the pieces inside the box. I don't think it was designed to be shipped through the postal system. Be prepared to return this a few times to get a good one.

Great kitchen- especially for two kids
My kids (2 yr. old girl and 4 1/2 yr. old boy) got this for Christmas last year. They love it! It is well made- the paint doesn't chip and the hardware has held up with them learning to not stand on the oven door when it is open! The best part is that there are two sides so they can both be playing at the kitchen and have a door and either the cooktop or sink to play with. They also have the cookware, tableware, and food/beverage set. Yes, it is more expensice, but lasts and is durable.
Chrismukkah gift
I just received my oven/dishwasher, and I am so pleased! It's not big at all, my son who is 17 months can grow into it. It's beautiful and sturdy. It took all of a minute to put together. It's heavy. I can't wait to give it to my son for the holidays.

I only buy wood toys, and plan toys has never let me down. I used to like Melissa and Doug, but I find too much of their stuff chips and peels. So far, my plan toys and Haba toys are beautiful and sturdy.

I definitely suggest this set, especially since you get two in one.
