Cooking Center Play Kitchen

a little disapointed
I just got this kitchen, and did not even assembled together yet but I am a bit disapointed. I wanted a nice wooden kitchen and on pictures looked nice but when I opened the box I found a little bit of mixed of everything. First of all, almost al the colored things you see on the pictures are rubber foam (the big blue door ont he side!!!, the red cooking tops, the orange shelf sides, the blue clock on the top), the top and bottom of the whole kitchen is made out of a cheap pressed shelf. The other parts are wood but overall maximum the half of the kitchen made from wood only. For this price I could have get a real wooden kitchen. Unfortunatelly, I cant send it back since I ordered it as a present and has no time to get an other one. I guess we just have to put up with this.
Poorly Made Product
We ordered this as a gift for our son and really liked that it contained a sink, oven, and fridge in one relatively small unit. The only thing positive I can say about this product is that it looks like the photo. Here are all of the things that are wrong with this product:

As another reviewer mentioned, this "wooden" toy is primarily made from pressed board and foam, not wood. The only colored parts that are wooden are the oven door and the yellow knobs. After you assemble this product, your child can easily remove all the orange shelves and oven shelf; get ready to find and reassemble this toy every time your child plays with it. Because of those orange foam pieces on the shelves, not much will actually fit on them. This is doubly true for the refrigerator shelves as the door has a top and bottom piece of "wood" (particle board) to give the blue foam it's shape which renders the top shelf completely useless. If you have toy refrigerator items they will most likely...
Awesome kitchen!
I never review anything (no time), but I had to review this. It's a beautiful little kitchen. Our kids are 2 yrs & 9 mos, and they're both enjoying it so much. It's attractive (which is good b/c it's in our living room) and compact - a small footprint for a small room, while still containing lots of fun components. I bought the Educo Gourmet Chef Cookware with it, which is PERFECTLY sized for it and matches like it was made for it, along with the Educo Gourmet Chef Cuisine. We also have the Green Toys Cookware and Dining Set, which doesn't really match but is a great addition. It's a little difficult to put together with the minimal directions, but I figured it out without much of a problem. It's very durable and will definitely last for a long time. It's also very reassuring that it's wood and made with nontoxic paint and glue. LOVE IT!!!
