I purchased this kitchen in the natural color but it is essentially the same product so I think consumers should be aware of the problems. I really wanted to like this kitchen. It is very cute and it is a nice tall size for older children to play with. Additionally I thought my kids would enjoy that it made cooking sounds and that the dishwasher made sounds.
To begin with, they sent the wrong size dowels to put the kitchen together. We were able to work around that.
Two of the back pieces were cracked but we figured that they were in the back and they would not be seen so that was ok.
Once it was put together we found that the electronics did not work properly. The oven only turns on when you switch the entire unit off then on. It only turns off when you either switch the entire unit off or turn the dish washer on. When my kids first started playing with it 3 of the 4 stove burners lit and made noise a week later we are down to two that light and make noise. The...
Seriously - do not buy this.
Total crap. As i attempt to put this together, metal fasteners are just breaking because they are cheap. major pieces do not line up together and the holes are about to break open. I do my own brakes on my cars. I build computers. Trust me...this cannot be assembled without cutting and drilling to make stuff line up correctly. And chances are, it will only fall apart if you do. This is the worst piece of junk I have bought in memory, and living 10 miles from teamson.. i may just drop it off in their lobby to show my appreciation.
