KidKraft Primary Baking Set
Wonderfully Creative
This baking set along with the toaster and the blender by Kidkraft have kept my four year old and my 1 1/2 year olds' attention every day since we have had it. They never seem to get bored with these sets as they have with other brands. These products are well made and have enabled my kids to really be creative when playing restaraunt or house. They are by far the best "play" cooking sets we have owned - and we have had MANY! I do recommend supervision for children under three because the products are wood and somewhat heavy. Really a lot of fun!
A Customer
I recently bought this mixer set for my 3 1/2 year old son and like everything I have ever bought from Kidkraft (toys and furniture), it is excellent quality. The stem of the mixer is pink while the rest of it is natural (unpainted). The bowl is orange and the baking tray is blue. The set also comes with two cookies, a (natural and pink) rolling pin, a (blue and natural) bowl, and a natural spoon.
The mixing part of the mixer tips back (and stays back firmly), just like my real mizer does, which my child loves. The entiire mixer and all separate pieces are 100% wood and appear very durable. The mixer arrived fully assembled, so no need to put anything together. It is light enough for my son to carry around from surface to surface, but still very sturdy. Excellent mixer that I would highly recommend for any child who loves to play kitchen.
Great mixer!
Great set. We bought this baking set and the toaster set. The kids love them, and so do I! A couple of the pieces in the toaster set I received were broken, but this set arrived fine and everything seems very durable. Beats the chunky plastic stuff any day. (The sweet, old-fashioned sound of clinking wood is SO much nicer than clattery plastic junk!) I'm looking forward to getting more sets!

KidKraft Laundry Playset
fast shipment and great product
This was pretty easy to put together. My first shipment was missing some hardware so I called the customer service line and got a real person on the first ring! I had the new hardware pack in two days and put this together in about an hour. The pieces are very well built and the screws are painted to match each piece so you don't notice them when it is put together. My kids love this and it seems like it will hold up very well.
Very discouraged
A nightmare to put together and very poor quality. I read the only review that it was a great product but little did I know!! It looked as if my 5 year old painted it and half of the screw holes did not match up. It was so poorly made I couldn't get put completely together. I made the mistake of cutting the box and could not ship it back. To purchase another box for shipping $33 which Amazon waived but shipping was $19.99. Issue is still not resolved! Very frustrating! My recommendation is to not purchase this item.

KidKraft Red Vintage Kitchen
Great kitchen...well-packaged for assembly
First, I'll talk about assembly of the kitchen. Then, I'll talk about the kitchen itself.
============
ASSEMBLY
============
You'll see several other reviewers talk about the difficult assembly of this product. Make no mistakes, putting this together is a non-trivial task, but I have to applaud KidKraft for the thought they put into the packaging to make the assembly as pain-free as possible. If you've never done this sort of furniture construction before, then building this is outside of your league, but anyone familiar with Ikea-type furniture should not have significant problems.
To wit:
* All parts are labelled with a letter in the instructions, and each part has a sticker affixed to it with the same letter. Makes identification of each part MUCH easier.
* All screws/bolts/washers/etc are packaged in a "compartmentalized" plastic clamshell container. This makes it much easier to keep your 5mm screws from mixing with your...
The good, the bad, the height, the storage
We got this kitchen set for our two toddlers (ages 2 and 3). I was worried about the size and height of the kitchen because others have said it's small. It is small, but it's fine. Our three year old can stand and work at it no problem. It'd be too small for a five year old unless they kneeled and worked, but I don't think this product is aimed at older kids anyway.
Assembly...it's really not that bad. We laid out all the pieces by number (it comes with easily removed number stickers on each piece) and all the nuts, bolts, etc. by letter. Putting it together was easy because we could easily grab the parts we need. With two of us, talking and not rushing, it took a couple of hours. Well worth it, really, when you consider how inexpensive this wooden kitchen is compared to pre-assembled ones. When assembled it looks GREAT. Everything matched up, screwed in, and shut tight. We had to file the glue off the one dowel, but no biggie.
Storage....that was our...
Well designed, but small
I love the style of the kitchen - a lot of compliments from everyone who has seen it. It is cute and compact for all the accessories it features. All of the doors swing out, which is very important because doors that flip down become places for your child to climb on, and the door would either break or tip the kitchen over. It is fairly heavy as the majority of the kitchen is some sort of wood or wood composite (can't tell as it is painted an all-over red laquer). Some of the silver parts are metal, but unfortunately not all are, with both plastic and painted wood used. I worry about the metallic paint used - who knows these days whether it's safe or not. The overall durability seems quite good to my critical engineer's eye.
I didn't have too much trouble assembling, but I can easily see where a less patient or less spacially-oriented person would have issues. If you've had trouble putting anything together, you will probably have a problem with this. As careful as...

Kidkraft Suite Elite Kitchen
A Guaranteed Hit!
Don't wait until Christmas Eve to assemble
I bought this for my nieces for Christmas. It's very cute and sturdy. Since I haven't given it to them yet, I can't tell you what they think of it, but after spending 3 1/2 hours putting it together last night, I can give you a few hints on assembly.
First, it's definitely harder than Ikea. Ikea optimizes the assembly so that everything can be put together with one or two types of hardware. This is not the case here. If there is a board, it probably has it's own hardware. There are seven types of bolts and four types of screws. They organize the hardware nicely in a divided packet, but be very careful not to mix them up. Open only the ones you need from the pack by the perforated cardboard on the back. Don't mix up the matching bolts and nuts. They come attached to each other. I mixed them up at some point and they didn't attach easily, even though they were the same type of hardware.
I was able to manage with the mini wrench and Allen wrenches supplied, but you...
Great fun and cute kitchen
The Suite Elite Kitchen assembly took approximately 2 hours -- put it together without assistance, although assistance is also available at a 800 number. The resulting play kitchen is really cute -- and the little girls in our family love it (a 3 year old and a 1-1/2 year old) I bought them a few real bowls, a small frying pan and wooden spoons to get into the use of the kitchen. (nothing like that is supplied)
The girls love that the dials click when you turn them. They love to open and close the cupboards, talk about what they are going to make, and pretend to talk on the phone. The play kitchen is a great traditional toy in that their imaginations are engaged and the children provide a lot of the action. I am glad of that as I get frustrated with most toys on the market that simply have a button for a child to press and then the toy lights up or says something ... (in those cases, what is there for the child to do?)
The few ideas I have are to have a timer...

KidKraft Vintage Kitchen-Bubblegum
Great, but way too small
We really like the kitchen--it is made well, easy to assemble, and super cute. It has the phone, which our kids totally loves. HOWEVER...it is tiny. My daughter got this on her third birthday, and she is already taller than the refrigerator (and she's not especially tall). It's a micro kitchen, so we're a little disappointed. We were hoping this was a toy that would go the distance, but I can't see a five year old playing in a dwarfed little kitchen. If they made this 30% bigger it would be great, especially since then all the toys made to go with play kitchens (like Melissa and Doug cookie sheets that don't fit in our tiny oven) would fit.
Awesome Kitchen!
Pros:
Small enough to be completely functional for my 18 month old.
Looks great in the dining room where we keep it.
It is Extremely cute! The color is a very nice red, and it looks really nice.
My son plays in his kitchen while I do dishes or cook, instead of hanging onto me.
The stove knobs click when you turn them, all of the doors open well, lots of storage space and shelving.
The faucet rotates, the hot and cold water handles turn (or can be used like soap dispensers which my son does).
It isn't a crazy colored plastic behemoth like other kitchens, which mattered to me.
My son's imagination soars while playing with this.
Cons:
None. I seriously love it and anyone that sees it wants it for their child instead of what they got.
Accessories I Got:
Melissa and Doug wooden pot and pan set (the red one): Look as if they came with the kitchen. The oven mitt and utensils that come with it are very nice too. A great...
Super cute but on the small side
We bought this kitchen for our daughter's second birthday. It is very cute and she loves it. It was easy to assemble, however my husband and I have assembled quite a few things so maybe we are biased? My only complaint is that it is on the small side. The Melissa and Doug cookie sheet does not fit in the oven and I know another Kidkraft kitchen can accommodate it. Even though it is small it is perfect for our daughter and our townhouse. I would recommend this kitchen, however an older child would have to play on their knees.

KidKraft Limited Edition Orange and Honey Kitchen 00192
Great Kitchen, great value
I looked around for a long time before deciding on this kitchen. It is very unique and eye catching in person.
The assembly was pretty easy. They include step by step instructions and have the hardware seperated by piece number which makes it a lot easier to build. It took me about 2hrs.
The kids love it and i'm a popular uncle.
Awesome Kitchen
I was initially drawn to this kitchen because of the original colors and style. I have a boy and a girl and I knew both of them would be able to play with it. I love the little island and the realistic oven knobs. Best part - the assembly was really easy (my husband was very thankful!!) I can't wait to see their faces on Christmas morning when they open this!!
loving it
love this new kitchen, it is very well made and even if a bit long to assemble, very well explained and easy to do so. my only regret is that the wood is a bit darker than pictured, it looks good, but I was waiting for something lighter, and it's more of a "medium brown" than a "honey". also, as all play food and accessories for this age are pretty small, more shelves especially in the fridge would have been great, I'm going to add a few, but those are little things, overall my boy loves it! and the design is original, complete and well made.

KidKraft Dora The Explorer Kitchen
Wonderful Quality!
We had been shopping early for a birthday kitchen for my two year old, and since my daughter loves Dora, we knew this was the perfect kitchen. It took some time to put it together, but the pieces fit well, and the end result is a quite sturdy play kitchen. The artwork is colorful and gorgeous, and my daughter loves opening and shutting the doors, clicking the knobs, etc. This is our first KidKraft product, and we are very happy with the quality and artwork. Now we're just excited to get some additional food accessories for Christmas!
Perfect for my Dora fan!
My five year old LOVES this kitchen! It is bright and colorful, has amazing artwork detail and the roof looks so authentic. It even has burners that sizzle! Highly recommend to anyone that loves Dora.
Fun Dora Kitchen
My niece recently received this for her birthday. She cannot get enough of it.
Assembly was fairly easy and it seem quite sturdy.
One part arrived cracked, but the manufacturer sent a free replacement for us.
All in all we are happy with this purchase.

KidKraft Master Cook's Kitchen
Well built
This kitchen was everything I hoped it would be. My 6 year old granddaughter still liked playing kitchen but the old set was kind of baby-ish. Not this one. It is well built (took a while to put together) and is clearly made for older kids.
I very much appreciated how the screws and other pieces were labeled. It made for a much easier assembly.
Beautiful kitchen, once you put it together after 5 hours!
The only reason I give this 4 stars is because of the long process of putting it together. It took me more than 5 hours, all by myself. Instructions however were easy to follow, nothing was missing and all the hardware came well protected, no chips or dents. Once you put it together it is absolutely beautiful, very good quality. However it needs to be anchored to the wall. My little one tried opening the oven, and the whole thing almost fell on her. It would have been nicer to have used magnets for all the doors, instead of what it comes with, because it really makes it a hazard, if it's not secured to the wall. Overall it's as cute as the pictures are showing, don't regret buying it.
Daughter loves it
This is a pretty nice kitchen set, it takes a while to put together but its worth it to see how much fun my little girl has with it.

KidKraft Large Kitchen
Disappointed
Our Kidcraft Kitchen Set is a year old. My daughter received it for her second birthday and after a few months of gentle play, the refrigerator door fell off. We continue to use it, but the particle board where the top of the door attached previously broke off, so the door falls off pretty much whenever anyone touches it. We've spent the last year trying to rig the door back on, but have been unsuccessful.
There are a few redeeming features. It's a taller unit than many others, so it works well for our tall daughter. The sink and stove height are perfect for her - she doesn't have to stoop down to play. I also like that the stove and sink area give her enough "work space" to prepare her food. The color scheme is nice - not too bright or tacky. It blends in with the rest of our playroom. Kids love playing with the oven knobs. The hands of the clock on the side actually move, but my daughter hasn't noticed them yet. The phone and notepad on the side are stickers and...
Durable, Fantastic Kitchen
My daughter received this kitchen from Santa 3 years ago when she was not quite 2 years old. I wanted something that was made from mdf or composite so it would be extremely heavy, yet not plastic or cheap. She has loved it from the moment she got it. We carved out a place in our kitchen for it and it's become a permanent fixture. While I'm busy fixing dinner, she goes over and fixes dinner. It has an endless amount of playtime and requires her to use her own imaginiation- no sound effects included with this one! Now that she's learning to read she even sounds out the grocery list that is painted on the fridge door. A clock on the side with moveable minute and hour hands is a great educational bonus as well. I can't even count the number of times she has "taken my order." This was by far one of the best toy investments we've ever made. It gets played with by every kid who comes in our door- no matter what age or gender. Fair warning, though- because this is a sturdy item of high...
Nice Kitchen & Great Service!
This kitchen is beautiful. My daughters (5 & 2 yrs) love it. They play with it for hours everyday. My 5 year old is very tall and this kitchen is still the perfect size for her. I'm sure she will play with this kitchen for a few more years. We had a plastic Smoby kitchen before this one and it was a piece of junk and had a toxic smell to it. It didn't even last 4 months. This pastel, large Kidkraft kitchen has held up amazingly well. We only had a problem with the bottom hinge on the oven door which snapped off when my daughter was playing with it. I went to their website and followed the instructions to order a new oven door. It was easy! I expected that they may charge me for the door as the kitchen was a year old and no longer under warranty, but to my surprise, the oven door arrived 3 days later on my doorstep at no charge. Great customer service!!! Now a days every toy kitchen on the market is poorly constructed (even the overpriced and small Pottery Barn ones), but...

KidKraft 2-Piece Retro Kitchen, Blue
Love love love the blue color !!!!!!
I ordered this for my 27 month old daughter for Christmas. It arrived within a few days, and was packaged very well so nothing was scratched or damaged. It is so adorable!! I love the baby blue vintage color, and the vintage design! This is a very good quality kitchen, and just the perfect size for her. It is a little kitchen, so I expect us to move up to a bigger one within a few years... thats why I started with this one its just right for toddlers.. I cant wait to give this to her!! Only thing is I did not attempt to put this together on my own.. I had my husband do the job, if not it would have taken me all day ! . Very Pleased with this purchase!
I Was impressed with the quality even the screw tops were painted to match!
Removable sink for easy cleanup !
My only gripe with this is that assembly took a long time .. About 2 hours ....but dont let that detour your purchase, the long assembly is definently worth the smile on your child's face...
Best Quality Kitchen, exceptionally well made
I'd been looking for a well made kitchen set for my 4 year old and 3 year old boys who played with a cheap plastic one until it finally gave weigh. I looked at the Pottery Barn Kids kitchens, but at $500 for two pieces it was completely out of the question. I was very excited to find the Kid Kraft product because we'd bought several other products from KidKraft and were always satisfied. This kitchen is awesome. The color, the details and especially the amount of space for all their food products and pots and pans. It holds everything they own for their kitchen unlike our smaller plastic one. It is very well constructed, beautifully painted, even included painted screws. It took 2 of us 2 1/2 hours to put both pieces together;reasonable for our limited skills. It's perfectly age appropriate and looks like it will last for years. My only wish was that it was slightly taller,it is petite.
Not recommended!
This is very cute but the quality is lacking...next time I would spend the extra money and go for all wood products that would be more durable. We have only had this since Christmas 2012 and I am going to have to call the company about the oven door falling off. It is made out of mdf board and just from my son opening and closing the door the screws have just fallen out of the holes.

KidKraft White Vintage Kitchen
Awesome Kitchen! (Pain to assemble)
I ordered this kitchen for my 17 month old son who loves to cook. Its the perfect size for him because he can reach everything (unlike some of the other KidKraft kitchens) He enjoys opening and closing all of the doors and playing with the microwave. The knobs click when you turn them, the oven rack is removeable and the phone makes for great "conversations". I gave this 4 stars overall because the asembly took FOREVER. I thought I'd pour a glass of wine and put it together while watching tv....not so much. haha! THREE HOURS LATER.........we had a fun kitchen to play with :)Overall a great, durable toy that the whole family can have fun with.

KidKraft Grand Gourmet Corner Kitchen
WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I purchased this kitchen in early November there were no reviews, I decided to take my chances and purchase it anyway. My husband & I assembled the kitchen a week before christmas (assuming it would take that long) and it literally took from start to finish 2 hours. I never expected it to be so sturdy, all the doors have a tight closure so my 2 year old can't SLAM any of them. There were no damaged pieces and all pre-drilled holes were positioned in the proper location. The main reason I chose this kitchen was because it had counter space, with all the accessories available (mixer, blender, toaster) there was no room other than stove top on all the other kitchens. My daughter is 2 and she has a baby sister and I can honestly say this kitchen will bring many years of happy play. I give this kitchen 5 stars +, she'll love it and I can't wait to see her little eyes light up christmas morning!
3 year old loves her new kitchen!
Just one word for this kitchen.. CUTE! I wanted a KidKraft kitchen b/c of the brand name and the fact it is wood. I love the white and pink.. talk about girly.. this is definitely a girly kitchen just perfect for my 3 year old!
We bought it.. and set it up for Christmas morning. Be prepared for a very long assembly! Took my husband 2.5 hours to assemble it (although its possible it could be done in a little over 2 hours if you have some help.. I didnt help my husband much with the assembly b/c I was setting up other things!) - So just be prepared for that.. give yourself some time!
The doors are neat - they do not slam shut.. they have latches that take a little bit of pressure to open / close. I like this fact. The freezer / refrigerator has a lot of room too.. perfect for food! There is one shelf that fits in the refrigerator to. And, the oven is pretty roomy. We have the Melissa & Doug cookie set, and that whole cookie pan with all 12 cookies fits...
Huge Disappoinment
Perhaps most of the positive reviews were given immediately after the purchase but here's mine after having it for a year. When we purchased it, we liked it very much. It was cute, and was a fairly sturdy piece. My children have played with it a lot. However, after only a year, it has turned into an ugly piece of junk. I'm very surprised how quickly this item went downhill as the children played with it (and they aren't rough). I started to notice the wear very quickly, within just a couple of months of the purchase. I also purchased some of the wood play pieces from Kidcraft (cups, plates, etc...) and it's the same story. I am extremely disappointed in their wood products. I've always purchased Little Tykes or Step 2 in the past which are the sturdy plastic products that last for years and years, but this item was so cute I chose it instead. Big mistake. Never again will I purchase Kidcraft items. Huge disappointment and a waste of money. We've only had it a year and I'd...

Kidkraft Deluxe Let's Cook Kitchen
WOW!
I was a little skeptical about the price, but if you shop around you will find that the good plastic kitchens are $70+ dollars. This one is wood (not solid wood). You have to put it together yourself. All the pieces are well labeled. It is easy to do. If you have ever assembled furniture, you will find this much easier. It is heavy to move by yourself, but you will not have to worry about this kitchen falling over.
The bright colors make it a good choice for boys or girls. It is a good size for older children to use and for 2 to 3 children to play with at the same time. This is better for children ages 4-8.
After moving it for the summer to be shared by toddlers and summer day care students it has lost all doors. The screws no longer stay in and the part that holds the door won't stay on. This is because younger children slam and swing on doors and want to climb on the kitchen.
A MUST HAVE FOR BOY OR GIRL
It took my husband two hours to put this kitchen together. He is handy making furniture and other stuff from Ikea. So this was kind of same style... He didn't take a break in between. It took me fiffteen mintues to bring all the parts (mostly heavy parts) from garage to our kitchen. (since that's where this toy kitchen is going to stay). So all together 2hours 15minutes.
Which is totally worth it. It looks so good. My four years old son loves it. He can reach the sink and stove. He can open the microwaves too. My 16 months age daughter can open diswasher, oven and Fridge. So it is fun for her too. Lot of growing can be done (I even played with it for few minutes). I liked it for myself too :) I think kids can play with it till age 8 or even more if they are still into it. Maybe Girls are more than boys at that age.
It comes with wooden spoon, pot holder and other red wooden spoon. All that you see behind the stove in the picture. Oven, diswasher,...
Very Happy with Purchase
I normal don't comment on products but any more as a rule I don't purchase anything without looking at the user reviews on Amazon. Since there are not many reviews on this product I felt compelled to say how please I am with this purchase. I just finised putting this together and it took about 2 hours however I was watching the football game so you could probably knock thirthy minutes (maybe 45) off that if you were focused. My wife and I were going to purchase the Melissa and Doug kitchen but after reading the reviews and people commenting that it took four hours to put together and they had to drill new holes because so many were misalligned we decided to purchase this one instead. I am very glad we did. What I like most of all is that when you screw two pieces of wood together you do not screw from one piece into another peice of wood but instead into a metal insert on the other piece of wood. You cannot strip out the insert like you can another piece of wood. You could...
