Just Like Home Toaster Playset in Yellow

Cheaply Made But My Kid Loves It
First of all, I bought this at Toys R Us for $15 which is as much as you should have to pay for it. My son (15 months) loves playing with the egg and pretending to break it and see the yolk inside. He also loves the bread and butter. The toaster is not great. At first the light wouldn't come on and now it won't go off. I can't see any way to open this thing up and try to fiddle with it either. So now we just have to take it out of his room at night because the toaster light is on 24 hours a day. That said, my son really does love the food elements. But I am actually surfing around for a new and better toaster toy because I think he would love it even more if the toaster worked better. It's just cheaply made. I think there is a better toaster out there.

Mattel Barbie I Can Be TV Chef Playset

Great Toy!
My 6 year old received this as a gift - she has many Barbie's and accessories - but this was one of her favorite toys this holiday season. She loves having Barbie cook on the TV set - it really has sparked her imagination as she creates new and inventive recipes for Barbie to make. The product itself is well constructed and easy to assemble. Would definitely recommend this for any child into Barbie.
Barbie TV Chef
I bought this for my granddaughter who is 11. She still plays Barbie's with her friends, for which I am happy. This set provides her hours of imaginative fun and is very good for older girls. She has seen cooking shows on TV so had a point of reference as to how they work and had fun with the dialog and 'cooking demonstration'. The set is so cute...the oven cooks your cake, the mixer works, the sink holds water, the fridge is stocked with necessary items, and all the cameras add to the realism. This is one Mattel's best themed sets for an older girl.
Cute, fun with lots of small pieces
I bought this toy for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. It comes with the doll, refridgerator and oven and the counter with the stove and sink and lots of other small tiny pieces. The doll is pretty and dressed cute. My daughter thinks its fun, but she plays with her other Barbies too when she plays with this set since it only comes with 1 doll and she needs an audience when Barbie is on tv. The toy is fun, but it doesn't keep my child's attention more than 15 min or so. It can be a great toy to any child who wants to be a chef or be on tv when they grow up. As far as durability, the counter holds up the lights and that part is flimsy and could break if bent the wrong way. Overall, its a pretty good toy.

Fisher Price My Sweet Kitchen Fill 'n Store Fridge

Fun fridge for kids!
This fridge is a great compliment to the matching stove/sink. It's a little top heavy and tends to fall over when opening the doors, but it's a good size and a lot of fun. My daughter loves to use the water dispenser and bring me a drink. The toys that come with it are well made and very sturdy. The produce drawers come completely out versus sliding in and out, but my daughter loves to take them out, and restock them with new foods. Overall lots of fun and best of all no messy leftover to clean out of this one!
Strangely sized
This fridge is too big for my barbie sized dollhouse, but too small for our play kitchen. The door sticks and you have to pull it to open it. That said, it is a cute little toy and my 19mo. daughter plays with it.
Very cute Fridge!!!
My grandchild loves this toy. It was a Christmas gift. My grandchild loves to play with this toy. Very durable, I received this toy way before Christmas, excellent over-all service.

Step2 My Own Baking Oven

Small -- which may be a good thing -- fun and Inexpensive
Let me preface my review for a moment... About a year ago, my wife brought back this hulking kitchenette toy from the "free room" at the recycling center (also known as "the dump"). I was a little horrified at the looks of it; it is bigger than my desk at work, two-sided, nothing electronic working on it, but when we unloaded it outside, my two-year old son loved it. He began making coffee for his grandfather, pizza for my wife and I, and loved getting drinks from the fridge. As long as there were people around, it kept him totally busy and entertained.

So. Winter comes, and we have a small enough house as it is. We can't put something that size in his room, nor will it have a place in the living room without sacrificing some piece of furniture. Also, I've already looked at the "newer" versions of what still stands outside near the swing set, and they are ludicrously priced at approaching $200, if not more. Then I see this oven as well as a grill, and I can tell that...
Fun at First.....A Little too Small
My 3 1/2 year old niece was very excited to play with her new baking oven and at first it was a hit, but it didn't hold her attention long and it isn't a favorite toy now. The oven comes with cute accesories and makes fun sounds, so I wasn't sure what the problem was, but now I think it's just a little too small. My niece struggled to work on the pull out "cutting board" it's too small and narrow to really do much and I noticed the small bowl she was using kept falling off of it. The oven is well made and sturdy, but I think it could be a little bigger or least the "cutting board" should be wider. She does play with it and one of her little friends seems to enjoy it more than she does, so it just may be a prefence thing as my niece does have a larger play kitchen that she plays with all the time. I hesitated to give the oven only 3 stars, because it isn't junk like alot of toys, but still it's a little pricey for what it is and not quite being a 4 star toy and since I can't do 3 1/2...
Falls apart easily, and the recipe holder keeps falling over backwards
My daughter had so much fun playing with this at first, until she got REALLY annoyed that the recipe card holder kept falling the wrong way. I inspected it a few times and made sure I assembled it correctly, and I did. My daughter tends to be a little OCD about things so she felt better about the toy once I'd just removed the recipe card holder.

There is something strange about the setup. I like that the "side table" or "cutting board" can be put on either side, but it doesn't hold all of the utensils correctly, so a lot of them are just floating around the playroom now. I'm not OCD but I do think that if you make a toy with so many accessories, you should be able to store them all inside or on the toy somehow.

It's fun for her to play with, just seems a little disorganized in the design. The battery life is great, though, and except for the recipe card issue she plays with it often.

Just Like Home Coffee Play Set - Blue

Not worth $50!
This is a very cute and fun addition to a play kitchen, but it's $15 at Toys R Us. I can't imagine why it would be so expensive here.
Fell apart after 3 months
50.00 could buy me a real coffee maker!
This one is made so cheaply!
Great idea, but costs more than real coffee maker!
Not worth buying
We bought this coffee maker for my 3 year old son. He loved playing with it and it worked great for about 6 months, then stopped working. Since it was so cheap and we no longer had the box we decided to take our chances and buy another one. It leaked water out of the battery compartment the first time my son tried to use it. We returned the second coffee maker and will not purchase another one. I would not recommend buying this toy as it has been a hassle for us and a huge disappointment to our son.

Icee Maker / Slushy Machine / Kids Slushie / Slushee Toy

Use a blender.
Works similar to an ice cream maker. You add salt and ice into the metal bucket in the center and it will freeze the juice that comes into contact with it on the outside and it is scraped off with a paddle when you crank the handle. The result is not a smooth consistency, but more like a slush puppy. For those who don't know what a slush puppy is like. An icee is smooth and you don't taste little chunks of ice like in a snow cone. A slush puppy is like a snow cone trying to be an icee and you have the ice bits in it. Like a snow cone between frozen state and liquid state.

It's kind of cool to see it work through the clear plastic. Doesn't make much and is messy to use so don't plan on breaking it out for a group. Just like 3 or 4 small servings. And they better drink fast because the finished product will melt fast.

If all your kids care about is having a slushy and this toy isn't a big deal. Then get frozen juice concentrate and use only half of the water...

Pretend Play Toy Kitchen Set with Stove, Pots, Pans and Cooking Utensils

Poor Quality
After I received this item I knew I wouldn't be giving it as a gift. It is made of cheap plastic and was nowhere worth the price of $27.99...more like a $12 - $15 item. I think it was made in Italy...all words on the box were in Italian. Would not recommend due to cost vs quality.

Little Gourmet Kids Stand Mixer - Aqua Blue

It's cute
It's not as heavy duty as I thought it would be....seems to kinda strain while mixing the good pancake mix.
But it's a cute little item and works fine with really soft foods (eggs, water, semi-melted ice cream...etc.)
Great for making jello! I am worried about the pivot point. There's no release for it....it just pops. So depending on how often this mixer is used, is how long that pivot will last (In my opinion).

FurReal Friends Trixie the Skateboarding Pup Pet

30 Tricks Statement Misleading

Trixie is super cute
Trixie is a super cute dog. Like the other Fur Real animals, she's not soft and squishy like a stuffed animal, but hard and mechanical on the inside. Not a sleep in bed with you kind of toy, the exterior fur is what makes them charming. Trixies mouth is open so her cute little tongue is showing, which makes her extra authentic appearing.

Trixie arrives in bright purple, pink and blue packaging with a remote control, star glasses and her skateboard. Even her handkerchief around her neck is purple based delight. Screams GIRL TOY. 2 AAA batteries and 3 AA batteries are required to make Trixie come to life are NOT included.

She's a little dog, the size of a chihuahua, and light enough for a four year old to carry around. Younger than that, which is not recommended, may drop and hurt their foot or if they roll onto it bump their head as she's got a hard interior. Her fur is soft. Her tongue, eyes, and nose are hard plastic.

Her bark comes in...
Great fun - a remote control toy that girls will love!
My daughter absolutely loves this adorable pet puppy! She loves the fact that it can do several tricks while she uses the remote - in fact her older brother loves to play with it as well! It took a little bit of help for a 4 year old to be able to maneuver the remote but after a while she caught on quickly and can do it independently. It is a lot of fun to see this cute little dog fly around on it's skateboard - I would have to say the fun value is very high for this toy and it makes a fabulous gift!

Easy-Bake Oven

Love the new color.
purple is my fave color. I had one of these when I was little and so did my nieces. The only thing we didn't enjoy was; that it took so long to get hot, the prices of the refill mixes, and the fact that ten year old and younger really need an adults help to tell when this was done and not burn it. Now there are lots of recipes on the internet for this that will save you money.
My granddaughter's favorite present.
Nice oven, my little grand daughter is really enjoying it. Her and her cousin spend afternoon's baking and then Mom posts what they baked. Very Cute!
AWFUL
We tried to bake five different things with this oven, and none of them came out done. The product is NOTHING like it used to be.

LEGO Hogwarts Game (3862)

Harry Potter Howarts Lego game should win awards! Amazing!
The Harry Potter Hogwarts game is an incredible value at just under $30. First you are able to build the game board, so it's equivalent to a normal Lego set. Then you play! The introductory game play is simple enough and complex enough for both kids and adults to enjoy. My favorite part was listening to the brainstorming that occurs when players (yes, grown ups and kids) realize they can adapt the game in an infinite number of ways. Best toy I have seen to stimulate imagination, cooperation, and creativity. My eight year old son even plays with the board game by himself creating and playing out different Harry Potter scenarios. I'm very thankful the game comes in a box that is sized just right . . . small enough to store in the game cupboard and big enough to store the game board without having to take it apart. I also appreciate the rubber edges on the dice. (No need to roll the dice in the box to prevent damaging furniture!) The Harry Potter Hogwarts game/toy deserves...
Harry Potter Hogwarts
My dad bought this for me as a souvenir from Orlando. When we got home the next day, my dad and I got it out of the luggage and started building it. The instructions are great and like all other LEGO sets. The rules are simple and easy to use, yet the game is deep and engaging. The cool thing is the game board changes, so if your opponent is about to win, you can change the path and force them to re-change it. The game involves luck, so kid's don't feel bad about losing. The packaging is sleek and attractive, and the game is fun and easy to store.

GAMEPLAY 9.5/10
FUN 9.95/10
LOOKS 10/10
OVERALL: 9.50/10

This game is great for Harry newbies, fans, or lego fans!
A Kid's Review
My kids are age 7 and 8. We've had this game for two weeks and I have played it with them non-stop every day! Building the game was lots of fun, but the game itself is even better. Players representing each of the Hogwarts houses race to collect items from four classrooms. But since it's Hogwarts, magical mayhem gets in your way. With each turn, players are able to rotate staircases or relocate classrooms to create obstacles for their opponents. It's great educational fun for the kids to come up with strategies to hinder their opponents while moving themselves along. There is also the ability to customize the gameplay in whatever way you want to make it easier or harder. In addition, you receive special microfigures of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Malfoy and Dumbledore which are adorable. I also love how the gameboard and game pieces are sized to fit perfectly into the box without the need to disassemble much. Definitely one of the best board games around!
